FLUID DYNAMICS PART 4

Assalamualaikum and Hi to all, Firstly i would like to introduce myself, My name Is Amin bin Abdullah. I am a student from Politeknik Sultan Mizan Zainal Abidin and take Mechatronics as my course. So, as a representative from class DEM2S1 I has been choose to write a blog about what we study during the last Thermofluids Class. During the class ,We have been taught  about 'Inclined Venturi Meter' by our beloved lecturer, Encik Roshaizul Nizam bin Sani.

 VENTURI METER

  • Venturi meter usually found in carburetor, fluid flow meters and aircraft airspeed indicators.
  • This venturi meter consist of a plain tube with a smooth constriction in its bore at the middle.
  • Most onVenturi Meter is made of glass and has three side tubes  for attaching a manometer.
  • When high pressure air is applied from the air tank, the water level in the three manometer legs is clearly different.

INCLINED VENTURY METER

  • Derivation is an expression for the rate of flow through an Inclined Ventury Meter.
  • The U-Type of gauge is used to measure the pressure difference and the gauge reading will be the same  for a given discharge irrespective of the inclination of the meter.
INCLINED VENTURY METER

FORMULA

Unliked normal Ventury Meter, Inclined Ventury meter used different formula. The formula that used in inclined ventury meter is :

                      1) First Equation

                      2) Second Equation

You can choose any formula above to find Q in Inclined Ventury Meter.

Thats all from me, hopefully all of you can understand with the information from what i has write above, Thank you and see you next time 😉😉😉

SUPERHEATED STEAM

EKSPERIMEN 1: SIFAT FIZIKAL CECAIR

Assalammualaikum w.b.t.

EXPERIMENT BETWEEN PRESSURE AND DEPTH

Assalamualaikum , my name is Muhammad Firdaus Iqbal Bin Mohd Farik (13DEM19F1059) and today I will write about the experiment that we have carried out during our last lectures period for this subject before the corona virus (read : Covid-19) spreads throughout the country which is the experiment regarding the relationship between pressure and depth.           The relationship between pressure and depth are something usual and very related to our daily basis life . Indeed they are very common but not everyone noticed the idea of pressure and depth and where can we apply this idea in our life. There are a few examples regarding the idea of the experiment which is :-  water damp water tank  water container   If you guys wonder why all the examples listed are all about water , it is because water is in the form of liquid and only liquid will be affected by preassure and depth as a whole. I will explain further regarding this issue using ...
